This is a full-time, ongoing position within our Quality & Clinical Innovation Division. While WFH/hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at our Blackburn headquarters in line with our hybrid working model.   About the role  Reporting to the Director Patient Safety & Experience, the successful applicant will ensure the management of SAPSEs adhere to legislated timelines as well as ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping practices are followed. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Coordinate the end-to-end Statutory Duty of Candour process ensuring efficient and effective practices and identification of system improvement opportunities to reduce organisational and patient risk Support the Patient Safety and Experience Team with open disclosure and patient & family interactions Partner with divisional performance area to provide timely accurate and meaningful reports to various committees and audiences Directly manage escalation of serious and complex complaints Foster a culture of professional development, continuous improvement and leadership About you  The successful applicant will have completion of a degree or relevant industry certification with proven relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience. Other requirements include but not limited to: Strong understanding of relevant Victorian legislation relating to Statutory Duty of Candour and associated processes highly desirable Understanding of process evaluation and ability to participate in and contribute to ongoing evaluation processes and continuous improvement highly desirable Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including an ability to prepare detailed reports, briefs and papers for a variety of audiences Demonstrated ability to work as part of a dynamic and high-functioning team, work effectively and cooperatively with others and establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) Proven approach to empathy and caring for others, with prior experience in patient/customer care  Working at Ambulance Victoria As a valued member of AV, you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
