The main responsibilities and duties a Concrete Cutter perform are some or all of the following: · Set up, adjust and operate machines to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete to specifications. · Check results for quality control, repair flaws, and perform ongoing machine adjustments and minor maintenance as necessary. · Operate mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical concrete cutting equipment such as wall saws, slab saws, rig saws, grinders, coring and hand drills. · Cut concrete with saws, hand, or machine tools. · Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of concrete to specified dimensions. · Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of concrete stone according to specifications. · Move products using forklift, crane, hydraulic hoist, chain hoist, hand carts, and mobile equipment. · Perform any other demolition, excavation, disposal, construction or clerical activities as directed by site foreman. Pay Rate: $29 / hour (CAD) Night Shift Premium: $4 per hour for any shift that crosses over 12:00am (midnight) Vacation Pay: 4% of gross wages Working Hours: Generally 7am to 3:30pm, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week (average) Shift: Generally Monday to Friday; Some afternoon, night and weekend shifts may be required Extended Benefits: Life Insurance, Extended Health Care for Prescription Drugs, Travel, Dental.
