Heres how a(n)Senior Project Accountantfor our Edmonton Industrial Managementoffice contributes to our team: Responsibilities :Assemble client billing packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions;follow up to ensure timely payment. :Reconcile and process all project:related accounts payable, general expenditures, and internal costing allocations in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet all contract terms, and PCL policy and procedures. :Participate in monthly forecast review meetings for assigned projects to provide input on project reconciliations and project financial status. :Ensure that all required documentation, including insurance, bonding, WCB, and statutory declarations are inplace. :Review and analyze monthly contract reports to ensure accuracy of cash flow, profit recognition, and ledgerbalance. :Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required. :Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders. :Assist with ad:hoc reports/analysis, internal/external audits, and year:end procedures as assigned. :Other duties as required. Qualifications :Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline. :3:5 years of accounting experience :Knowledge of construction industry; understands general construction terms and processes. :Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable. :Understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash:flows. :Strong organizational skills and high level of detail orientation with the ability to accurately prepare and enter financial information to meet deadlines and requirements. :Basic understanding of project forecasting and budgeting. :Knowledge of project costing principles and contract/subcontract requirements as related to project accounting. :Effective verbal and written communication skills. :Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills. :Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. :Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and experience with accounting software.
