If this describes you, we invite you to apply for Grain Farmers of Ontario’s Guelph/Hybrid Creative Specialist job. The RoleThe Grain Farmers of Ontario Creative Specialist is instrumental in the strategy and execution of multiple aspects of the Grain Farmers of Ontario brand and will oversee the production, design and layout of organization projects, including communications assets and Ontario Grain Farmer magazine. The Creative Specialist is responsible for managing the Grain Farmers of Ontario and the Good in Every Grain brands and acts as a guide for the broader organization on the visual story of our brands. Your day-to-dayGraphic DesignGenerate creative and visually pleasing marketing pieces for all communication projects including signage and displays, vehicle wraps and art work for mobile displays/exhibits, assets for programs and projects, etc.Guide the layout and coordinate the production of organizational publicationsReview collateral created by agencies and other team membersCollaborate with team to guide management of the communications asset library (photo, video, templates, etc.)Brand ManagementOversee Grain Farmers of Ontario brand and Good in Every Grain brandEngage and Educate other members of the organization on the Brand principles and guidelinesReview and Refresh brand regularly to ensure the brand is modern and meets the needs of the organization and its farmer-membersAct as liaison with external companies on brand use and approvalsMagazine ProductionProduce the layout and design of Ontario Grain Farmers magazine (nine issues annually)Working with the managing editor, take a leadership role in managing the look and feel of the visual elements of the Ontario Grain Farmer magazineManage the print process and distribution of the magazine.What you will BringUniversity degree or college diploma in graphic design, or related field.Experience in graphic design4+ years previous layout and design experience; magazine layout experience is an assetExcellent knowledge of publishing software – ideally Adobe Creative CloudHighly creative with attention to detailExperience in brand design and maintaining brand consistency to ensure a unified message and visual identity across all brand touchpointsHigh level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Some WordPress, HTML proficiencyStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skills - Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an assetCapacity to work under pressure, with tight deadlines and in stressful situationsWillingness to work extended hours and evenings as required What we offerGrain Farmers of Ontario is a team of passionate, hardworking people focused on teamwork and collaboration to bring the greatest value to our farmer-members.
