The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, the Dietitian is responsible for the management of the food service software for IWK Patient Food Services. The Dietitian establishes and maintains contact with the IWK patients and family members who have expressed questions or concerns surrounding Dial for Dining services and/ or the menu. As well, the Dietitian will be responsible for coordinating all food production for the Food Services Department. This includes patient feeding within the IWK Health Centre and its off:site locations, cafeteria, and catering services. This position is responsible for the supervision and scheduling of staff. The Dietitian provides nutrition education and acts as a mentor to dietetic interns and volunteers. Hours of Work Primarily Monday to Friday, variable shifts, and flexible hours required Your Qualifications :Bachelor's degree with major credits in nutrition or dietetics required :Graduate of a Dietitians of Canada:accredited Dietetic Internship Program required :Licensed member of the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association required (or eligible for licensure) :Eligible for membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC) :Advanced food safety training required :Two (2) years of experience as an administrative dietitian preferred :Certification as a Journeyper
