The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Food Services and under the direct supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, the General Worker distributes par:stock items to units; assists in the simple preparation and portioning of food as per duty lists; replenishes stock; assists in cleaning throughout the department; serves, takes orders and distributes meals to patients; and works as part of a team in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of the service. Hours of Work Shifts range from 3.0 to 11.25 hours. Monday:Sunday, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. 24:hour operation. Flexible hours and backshifts are required. Your Qualifications :High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. :Recent experience/training in a food service setting required. :Food Handlers Course required (or willingness to maintain within one year of hire). :WHMIS required (or willingness to maintain within six months of hire). :Must have demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills. :Must have strong customer service skills. :Competencies in other languages an asset.
