The Opportunity The Ward Clerk performs a variety of reception and clerical duties required for the efficient operation of the unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: utilization of OBTV and Meditech data entry on all patients, including admission, transfer and discharge; ordering of lab specimens; ordering and maintaining supplies; transport functions; answering phones; assembling discharge and assessment charts. Hours of Work 12 Hour Shifts, rotating shifts of 07:00 : 19:00 and 19:00 : 07:00; Mon:Fri and Weekends. Your Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED required : Graduate from a recognized Office Administration Program preferred : Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology (testing may be conducted on shortlisted candidates) : Knowledge of SAP an asset : Knowledge of Medical Terminology an asset : Knowledge of Meditech preferred : Experience using OBTV preferred : Keyboarding skills minimum of 40 wpm required, 60 wpm is preferred (testing may be conducted on shortlisted candidates) : Data entry skills required : Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required : Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a vari
