Why work with us? : Pension and Benefits : Progressive wage increases : Uniforms and competitive boot allowance : Growth progression available WAGE: 38.05/hr HOURS: Day Shift; Monday to Friday (6:00AM to 2:30PM); Saturdays as required (OT) Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete and Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles. Job Responsibilities: : Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair ready:mix trucks through preventative and scheduled maintenance. : Perform removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components. : Use leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns. : Order required parts and maintaining parts inventory. : Document repairs on work orders and complete inspections sheets as required. : Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on availability of equipment. : Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment. : Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to use of shop and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. : All other duties as required. Requirements: : Valid 310T Truck and Coach license or a registered training agreement. : Valid class 'G' Driver's License. : Sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps/motors, and air brake systems. : Strong interpersonal skills with a safety:first approach. : Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. : Ability to travel to local sites as required.
