Position SummaryThis position is responsible for managing the Accounting and Administrative functions for the business unit including preparing and reviewing financial reports overseeing day-to-day transaction processing and leading a team of Accounting and Administrative Staff.Key ResponsibilitiesManages the Accounting and Administrative function with the business including managing a team of financial analysts and administrative staff.Reports current and expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.Oversees the preparation of internal financial reports including derivative accounting and operational analysis to support decision making in a manner that aids management?s understanding of current and future results as well as to support month-end financial reporting.Assists with the budget and forecasting process for the business unit.Lead new projects and process improvement initiatives including establishing and maintaining policies controls and procedures for the business.Trusted individual to review and approve company payments and invoices.Selects trains develops and motivates the team of financial analysts and administrative staff.What is expected of you and others at this levelDecisions are guided by policies procedures a business plan and a control environment and receives guidance form senior manager and business unit leaders.Understands risk management and hedging policies currency and commodity hedging and applies this knowledge to day-to-day transactions and financial reporting.Understands the control environment and assists with internal and external audits as it relates to grain and derivative accounting.Manages coaches and trains a team and provides technical guidance to employees and peers.Is accountable for the performance and results of a team.Adapts plans and priorities to address resource and operations challenges.Education & ExperienceBachelor?s Degree required in finance economics or accounting; CPA is preferred.5-7 year?s relevant experience required.Public accounting work experience is preferred.Physical Requirements and Working EnvironmentProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer?May require travel up to 10In-office positionThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
