Job Summary
As a Clinical Veterinarian for our Veterinary Services team in Senneville, you will be responsible for the well:being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre:clinical studies.
In this role, primary responsibilities include:
:Provide optimal medical care, diagnosis, and treatments as per accepted veterinary practices;
:Provide professional expertise for guidance on procedures and techniques involving animals;
:Review and optimize animal monitoring and SOPs related to animal care;
:Be a member of our animal ethic committee and lend your expertise to evaluate all procedures performed on animals before studies begin.
Key Elements
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
:Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine;
:Valid OMVQ licence;
:Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change;
:Flexibility to work on changing work schedules;
:Ability to lead work in a team environment;
:Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).
Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
Role Specific Information:
:Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1;
:Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte:Anne:de:Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
:Annual bonus based on performance
:Schedule: Mostly daytime Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, you will have to do evening, night, and weekend rotation on call;
:Permanent position as of the hiring, full:time 37.5hrs per week.

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state:of:the:art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
