FCC has lending, products and services to help Indigenous entrepreneurs, economic development corporations and government entities fully realize their goals. As Director, Internal Indigenous Engagement, you’ll be responsible for the execution of FCC’s Indigenous Relations strategy, Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan and leading internal collaboration across the organization. You’ll work with internal stakeholders as well as Indigenous leaders, government, communities, representative organizations, councils, associations, and provincial and federal government officials to develop strategic partnerships that advance Indigenous agriculture and food across Canada. What you’ll do:Lead FCC’s Indigenous Relations Strategy refresh and our first Indigenous Reconciliation Action PlanLead FCC’s PAR certification and related process to demonstrate our leadership, community investment, business development and human resource tactics to achieve and maintain PAR certificationWork with internal and external stakeholders to build financing models that increase access to capital for Indigenous and under-represented groupsSupport the Indigenous Finance team via sponsorships and events, brand strategy and marketingWork with internal stakeholders to advance Indigenous procurement, community investment, communications, brand and marketingManage Indigenous self-declaration, data analytics and customer segmentation in partnership with internal leaders and teams responsible What we’re looking for:Confident, strategic leader and communicator with strong analytical skillsAbility to connect and build relationships and networks across the ag and food sectorLeader who can manage multiple priorities and direct reportsA drive to help others achieve success in their reconciliation journey. What you’ll need:A bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, business or commerce and at least eight years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)Significant experience working with Indigenous government, business and communitiesA strong background in working with and for Indigenous social and economic development priorities and a deep understanding of Indigenous experiences, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and other related legislative and international instruments such as UNDRIPA love for agriculture and advancing Indigenous food security and financial sovereignty.
