The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) supports faculty and course instructors in their professional development as teachers, and provides consultations, resources and technology support to enhance learning in their courses and programs. CTL also enhances academic skill development both within and beyond courses through our English Language Development Support, Facilitated Study Groups, Mathematics and Statistics Learning Support, Experiential Learning, and Writing Support programs. Your opportunity: The Educational Developer, Digital Pedagogies provides expertise through a scholarly and evidence:based approach to enhance both the teaching experience of educators and the learning experience of students. Reporting to the Manager, Educational Innovation and Academic Initiatives, you will contribute to the advancement of pedagogical practices at the University of Toronto Scarborough. In this role, you will advise educators and staff on the innovative use of instructional technologies to support teaching, learning, and pedagogical research, particularly in online and hybrid/blended learning environments. This role contributes to the strategic support and development of the Universitys Academic Toolbox, including the Learning Management System, to enhance digital teaching and learning. You will be well:versed in supporting the development of teaching dossiers and facilitating curriculum mapping processes to align learning outcomes, assessment strategies, and program goals. You will also demonstrate your experience working with faculty on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), including guiding reflective and research:informed teaching practices. You will work collaboratively with other Educational Developers, Educational Technologists and Instructional Designers, Faculty, Librarians, academic departments, campus partners, and staff to design, implement, and evaluate programs, resources, and initiatives that foster innovative, inclusive, and evidence:informed digital learning experiences. These initiatives will support educators in enhancing their teaching practices and effectively integrating technology into their pedagogy across diverse learning environments. This role also involves close collaboration with campus and tri:campus partners to develop instructional design plans involving educational technologies, promote effective use, provide guidance and training, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of digital learning tools that support inclusive teaching excellence and student success.
