We are a family-based nursery that has been in business for over 50 years. We are known for producing high quality plant material and providing excellent customer service. We work closely with all aspects of the horticultural trade in Canada and the US, but primarily with Landscapers, Retail Garden Centers and Re-Wholesalers. Our management and staff work closely together to assure the most positive environment for our customers. We are looking for someone who:Has Excellent plant knowledge of trees, shrubs and perennials, with Sales experience and/or sales training.Has a positive personalityLikes the challenge of a fast-paced environment Is self-motivated and results drivenLikes to deal with people in a sales environmentHas strong computer and smart phone skillsIs proficient in excel and wordIs organized and has an attention to detailMust be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlinesHas basic knowledge of the Nursery/Retail Garden Centre industryWorks well in a productive team environment Qualifications:Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent experience in the horticultural tradeAt least 1 year of sales experienceAt least 1 year of Customer Service experienceGood computer skills.Able to create sales literature using available email and other social applications.Fluent in spoken and written EnglishMust be able work in an outdoor environment when called for (Rain or Shine)Must be able to lift up to 50lbsFollow and adhere to all safety procedures Responsibilities:Take all general in-coming sales calls and respond to all requests including going out into the nursery to check stock and take photographs of product if requiredProvide professional, accurate quotations in a timely mannerHave good sales follow-up skills, as well as build positive relationships with customers and suppliersInitiate salesSource and purchase plant material when needed from other suppliersWork with sales team on sales initiativesCreate sales literature for emailingHelp customers on the phone, as well as help walk-in customers in Landscape Pick-up yard.Work closely with dispatch and project management team, as well as AP/AR and Management to assure excellent business relations.Help keep inventory accurate If you love plants and like to work in a postive team environment, then please submit your resume by clicking APPLY TO THIS POSITION below.
