As Residency Program Officer, you will work collaboratively with faculty leadership, residents and administrative staff to support Canada's largest and most prestigious residency program in obstetrics and gynaecology. You will play an integral role in developing a department wide strategy in coordinating curriculum, supporting accreditation processes and advising staff on program and policy changes. Your proven track record of delivering projects and driving process improvement will be critical to the success of our programs. Your responsibilities will include: :Coordinating postgraduate residency training programs and the competency by design program including developing new academic half:day sessions to meet curriculum requirements :Supporting the residency program including coordinating rotation schedules, program assessment schedules, accreditation/auditing processes, and maintaining curriculum maps :Coordinating the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) process, including recruitment of faculty and trainees, collating applicant scores, and organizing orientation sessions :Overseeing day:to:day educational and operational needs for the department including leading and implementing project initiatives and project plans :Analyzing and making recommendations for student program enhancements including implementing operational policies, procedures, and best practices :Analyzing and maintaining data, generating reports and identifying discrepancies :Supporting committees including the Residency Program Committee with scheduling, meetings, taking minutes, coordinating agendas, materials and action item :Directing the activities of a single ongoing staff:appointed employee Essential Qualifications: :Bachelors Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. :Minimum five (5) years of related administrative experience in a university or healthcare environment :Demonstrated experience coordinating postgraduate residency training programs; interpreting and applying policies and procedures, particularly from Postgraduate Medical Education Officer (PGME) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) :Demonstrated experience coordinating rotation schedules, program assessment schedules, and maintaining curriculum maps :Demonstrated experience with the competency by design program and the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) process :Experience with the preparation and coordination of accreditation and audit processes :Experience with conceptualizing, organizing and executing program activities such as workshops and the delivery of programs by developing project plans and using data:driven analysis and reporting :Demonstrated experience supporting committees with scheduling meetings, taking minutes, coordinating agendas, materials, and action items :Experience with analyzing an
