Course Number and Title: CDN199H1F : Canada : Hong Kong Migration
Course Description: This course surveys the effects of migrations and cultural connections between Hong Kong and Canada from the 1960s. Students will discuss and analyze the impact of migrations and study the connection between the two locations from the perspectives of history, culture and literature, politics and democracy, economic and financial development and the network of people and community. Restricted to first:year students.

Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree required in Social Sciences or Humanities.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred. Demonstrated research and/or teaching expertise on issues relating to Canada:Hong Kong migration and/or Chinese Canadian Studies (or cognate field) is preferred. University level teaching experience is preferred with demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching.
Relevant Criterion:Past teaching experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
Description of Duties: Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
