This course explores current developments for achieving peak performance academically, physically and emotionally. We focus on the scientific basis of the links between performance and stress, and of the benefits and risks of pharmacological methods to achieve performance enhancement. Various stress management skills are introduced. Estimated TA support: 70 hours (TBC) Estimated course enrolment: 55 students (TBC) Class schedule: Lectures Tuesdays1:00 pm : 3:00 pm Sessional dates of appointment: September1, 2025 : December31, 2025 Salary (0.25 FCE): Sessional Lecturer 1: 4910.35; Sessional Lecturer 1(LT): 5255.02; Sessional lecturer 2: 5255.02; Sessional Lecturer 2(LT): 5380.14; Sessional Lecturer L3: 5380.14; Sessional Lecturer 3(LT): 5515.18; All inclusive of vacation pay; *Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a completed Ph.D. in Neuroscience (or equivalent) with recent scholarly contributions in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology Research. Knowledge of neuroscience, cognition, stress and human behaviour required. At least two years of recent teaching experience in the field is required. Preference given to those with previous teaching experince in the Human Biology Program.
