?Job ID:?R2000562365??Job Description:??Acts as Inventory Management process owner and actively support projects/initiatives that impact Inventory Management focused on narcotics, controlled drugs and targeted medications (NCTM)Ensure timely submissions (Monthly Activities Reports, annual reports) and communications with the Office of Controlled Substances (OCS)Guide other A/QPICs and ensure effective execution of responsibilitiesPerform regular inventory counts along with daily reconciliations for NCTM productsInvestigate and document any discrepancies during product handling of Controlled SubstancesMaintain documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures and as per Health Canada requirements for Controlled SubstancesfResponsible for implementation of inventory management system and supporting maintenanceMonitors and analyzes purchase and inventory trends, inventory investment and returns revenue to ensure overall goals in service level and other key performance indicators are achievedMaintains the relationship with Inventory and Procurement teams to provide effective communication of changes to purchase habits as well as resolutions to product shortages, damages, long-term unavailability and discontinued.Reviews clinical and operations initiatives to resolve inventory needs, taking into account current on hand inventory and the required lead times to ensure Central Pharmacy Services can complete initiativesActively seeks out opportunities for improvement within the scope of Inventory Management to meet performance, quality and financial targetsPartners with operational site and other teams to ensure effective resolution of all inventory related issuesMaintain proper storage of medications within the pharmacy according to 5S principlesEnsure stock bottles are put away according to established workflowMaintaining perpetual inventory systemManage customer returns and expired products by disposal protocol (e.g. Stericycle One Box)Prioritize recalls and immediately isolate product; quarantine until details of the recall are providedManagement of preferred generic product e.g. DSPMonitor and maintain MMS by performing daily Inventory tasks like Holding tanks, updating UPCs, applying suggested ordersMaintain Overstock to ensure the uninterrupted supply of all productsWork closely with the Pharmacists to prepare store communications for product availability updatesTrack and communicate low stock and out of stock situations according to pharmacy procedures?Other responsibilities:Ensure narcotic inventory is detail received and records updated under the direct supervision of a PharmacistUnpack and receive pharmacy totes inside pharmacy in a secure environmentPut away received pharmacy inventory in appropriate location in accordance with established workflowPerform cycle counts and ensure stock rotation is completed and expired product is removed from the shelf and returned in accordance with standard operating proceduresCarry out daily inventory task, including, but not limited to placing Orders, maintaining MSLs, receiving orders, investigating discrepanciesOrder and maintain non-prescription merchandise in the dispensary, including stock rotation and the management of expired productOther tasks as assigned?What you will need:Experience with handling and managing Controlled Substances under a Licensed Dealer3-5 years? experience in Pharmacy inventory managementUniversity DegreeAt least two (2) years of experience using MMS is strongly preferredExperience using HealthWatchStrong interpersonal skills in order to effectively source information, obtain approvals, build relationships, and provide sufficient influence to achieve successCreative problem solver and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentHigh degree of detail and accuracy while adapting to multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional time management and problem solving skillsUnderstanding of pharmaceutical/health?care industry is preferred?This role requires the employee to be flexible to work a variety of shifts during the business? hours of operations, which may include weekend shifts and statutory holidays.?Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart??Acting as consultants, supporting internal customers and the Associate-Owners, you will get experience unique to the retail industry while working for an award-winning national brand.??
