Duties: · Operate and drive truck, to transport crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from specified locations. · Operate a dump truck system, including hydraulic and steering systems, trailers, and load dividers. · Ensure that the materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures. · Maintain log work/rest periods spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. · Inspect the dump truck before and after every trip, which includes checking the oil, gas and water levels as well as the lights and tires. · Perform pre-trip, on route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights and turn signals and brakes. · Perform emergency roadside repairs. · Manage trip reports, maintenance reports, inspection reports. · Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. · May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
