Job Purpose Provide technical and application support for EnerSys products and services, in the assigned area against profitable margins and in line with the business plan, in order to contribute to the realization of service: related sales and service targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities stylemargin:bottom:0.0in;margin:top:0.0px: :Build batteries or repair as needed :Shipping / receiving :Evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer's equipment including washes, cleans, and neutralizes customers' batteries at shop. :Ability to perform discharge tests, evaluates results, and makes necessary repairs. :Assists with the installation and/or removal of motive power batteries. :Removes and disassembles cells and inspects parts to detect defects. :Replaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with gas torch. :Adds acid or water to obtain specified concentration. :Diagnoses and repairs batteries, reads meters and adjusts charge parameters to control time and flow of current through battery. :Inventory control. :Operates material handling equipment per OSHA requirements. :Performs inspections and analyzes findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action. :Maintains records of performance reports. :Maintains a safe, orderly and clean working environment: clean warehouse in service area at the end of the day. :Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000. :Occasional travel to Customers' site for service work. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must complete Enersys Canada Inc. Service Representative Training Course within 6 to 12 months. Must complete forklift training. Driving Ability:Ability to operate various company vehicles types in a safe and competent manner. Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
