Who are we looking for? : The R and D Program Manager will be responsible for managing projects and programs belonging to new product development, new technology development and applications development category. The role requires proven skills in Project Management, preferably in the field of managing R and D programs and projects. : The candidate preferably, should have a technical background in the Physical Sciences, Materials Science or Engineering and must have demonstrated strong and effective project and program management skills in prior roles. This position will include consulting, leadership, and collaborative working with a team of professionals. What will you be doing? : Responsible for managing the complete life cycle of highly complex projects, including planning, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are achieved on time. : Manage multiple projects belonging to single or multiple Line of Businesses spread globally. Oversee execution of program/s and ensure collaboration between projects and teams. : Report out on project/program metrics to stakeholders and leadership teams. Monitor and track resource utilization metrics through timesheet tool and report out. : Measures and monitors performance metrics for projects in a program, and takes appropriate counter measures to ensure priority projects are brought back on:track. : Guidance and mentoring of fellow project managers. : Creates and maintains process workflow documents to support business needs. : Formulate new project management protocols and improve upon existing ones. : Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and /or options to executive management. Ensures effective implementation of solutions / changes. : Maintain and upkeep project/program management systems for project data management, reporting and performance measurement. In coordination with IT team, develop and implement new systems as per requirement of business. : Interface to internal customers to agree upon project specifications, deliverables, and milestones. Responsible for working together with marketing and business development teams. : Responsible for defining and tracking technical goals, milestones, and deliverables for project team. : Represent project and project team, manages project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings, and written, electronic, and graphic reports to internal customers and leadership teams. : Facilitates and leads cross functional project team meetings with members
