Job Purpose Thesenior data engineerwill play a key role within the Data and Analytics team as part of the existing Dev:Ops framework. Their primary responsibilities involve designing, building, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure necessary for processing, collecting, storing, and analysing large volumes of data.They perform analytical and capacity planning activities to ensure data warehouse is adequately equipped. The responsibilities of this position arediverse and can span across a wide variety of functions, from very simple to highly complex. Engineers are expected to manage their daily workload and have a reasonable degree of autonomy. Essential Functions and Responsibilities :Perform source system data analysis. :Responsible for data pipeline creation facilitating the smooth flow of data from any source systems to the data warehouse and/or other storage systems. :Responsible for data warehousing, and data modelling, defining and developing physical and logical data models to support departmental and functional reporting needs. :Responsible for mid:layer development, metadata and ETL specifications using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources from Data Warehouse to Power BI Architecture. :Responsible for Power BI dashboard development with the ability to translate reporting requirements into actionable intelligence. :Responsible for developing and testing mappings/interfaces, packages, stored proceduresand scheduled jobs. May also carry out code reviews and recommendations for improvements in code efficiency. :Accountable to create, maintain, and manage technical design documentation for any data warehouse and reporting development efforts that they build, including data flow diagrams, mapping documents and unit test documents. :Responsible for the maintenance of both Production and Non:Production environments. :Responsible for adherence to reporting standards and best practices to ensure data standardization and consistency. Accountable for implementation of checks, validations, and security standards and measures in order to meet any and all regulatory and compliance requirements. :Perform other duties as assigned. :Understand and adhere to all corporate policies including but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Qualifications(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience :5+ Years of experience as a Data Engineer with hands:on experience of Data Modelling and Data Warehousing. :Must be proficient in SQL and other programming languages such asPython,orDAX. :Expert in using MS Power BI :Familiarity with relational databases is essential. :Working knowledge of creating tables, writing SQL queries, tuning of SQL queries, database upgrades. :Experience indatavalidation/migration/ cleansing between source and target applications. :Good knowledge and experience of performance tuning and enforcing repository best practices. :Proficient with data integration and ETL tools likeODI and SSIS. :Strong problem:solving skills and excellent communication abilities Competencies :Strong attention to detail. :Self:motivated and organized, with the capacity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. :Strong organizational and time management skills. :Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with Senior Management. :Ability to listen, discuss, interpret, and promote solutions with stakeholders while responding to their needs. :Ability to assist with user documentation and customer training development for new process and tool rollouts. :Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimum direction.
