Reports directly to the BBS India Office Manager and collaborates with managers of various verticals, including Accounts Payable, Client Billing, General Accounting, People Operations, Expense Management and Corporate Systems. Major Responsibilities: Establishing a team of BBS employees across multiple verticals in Chennai Office by leveraging talent pool available in Chennai. Facilitate training for new hires to provide them with an overview of Bechtel and BBS Operations. Co-ordinate with relevant vertical managers for process specific trainings. Identifies training requirements in line with ever changing compliance and other regulatory environment to ensure work is performed per established regulatory guidelines and corporate policies and procedures. Establishes effective communication and foster strong work relationships with stakeholders. Participates in work processes reviews and recommends changes, assists in design, testing and implementation process and system changes. Develops and updates desk procedures and may participate in development and delivery of training materials and classes in consultation with respective vertical manager. Establishes administrative controls for all related accounting functions in accordance with established Bechtel policies and procedures. Provides supervision to the team in Chennai in co-ordination with BBS India Office Manager and respective vertical / process manager. Provides supervision to accountants in preparation of reconciliations, reports, journal entries and other reports as requested. Highlights complex accounting matters in timely manner to stakeholders and provides recommendation for its resolution. Works cross functionally with various verticals of finance organization. Should possess good knowledge of Accounts Payable, General Accounting and Expense Management processes.  Actively corresponds with other departments and follows up on corrective actions. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 10+ years of experience in Record to Report or Procure to Pay processes. Masters’s degree in accounting or finance would be an added advantage Knowledge of other accounting processes would be an added advantage. Level I: Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree and 10 to 15 years of relevant experience. Level II: Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience.     Required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to correspond effectively both orally and in writing. Must be dependable, meticulous, conscientious, and able to function well in a team environment. The candidate should be flexible and adaptable, able to maintain a positive and professional attitude, and composed under stress. The candidate should be a self-starter capable of working independently, taking initiative in identifying and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence. The candidate should possess good organizational skills, provide constant attention to detail, and apply quality control over a heavy volume of work with tight deadlines. Candidate is expected to maintain confidentiality of all information granted to the position. Strong communication, presentation, team management, and leadership skills. Ability to connect with stakeholders effectively. Proficient in MS Office, Oracle, SAP.
