Project Overview: Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi:billion:dollar upgrade / expansion of an existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel's India offices. Both scopes, PMC and EPCM, are substantial with multi:million job:hours estimated across them. This position will start as an assignment in Dahej.. Job Summary: Responsible for the organization and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials. Provides technical direction to contractors in construction engineering and design functions relating to electrical engineering in an area of the project. Job Dimensions: Supervision Received: : Receives technical and operational guidance from assigned Lead Discipline Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer or other assigned supervising manager. Supervision Exercised: : Provides technical and administrative direction to contractors. Contacts: : Jobsite contacts are with jobsite personnel including subcontractors related to construction engineering and the customers resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities. Major responsibilities: : stylemargin:top:0.0in;margin:bottom:0.0in typedisc: : Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite. : Establishes a Design/Field Engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Lead Discipline Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables. : Responsible for quantity take:off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensures the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required. Support as required the design of temporary construction facilities, preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and coordinates the preparation of cost reports, forecast and progress reports. : Reviews and provides input to project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule, and material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials. : Develops project construction procedures. : Plans and recommends proce
