Project Overview: Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services for a multi:billion dollar renewables and its infrastructure project in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region. This position will start as an assignment in Mumbai, India (office) and after the full notice to proceed from the Owner, the site:specific position will eventually transition to the job site for the execution of the project. Job Summary: Providing Supplier Quality Supervision to a project including participation in project and or shop quality surveillance in accordance with Bechtel Supplier Quality and Expediting Inc. (BSQE), Global Business Unit (GBU) and project procedures. Major Responsibilities: : Plan, prepare and administer Quality Surveillance Assignments (QSAs) for source surveillance, surveys and audits as required for project : Coordinate with SQ Regional Managers and Supervisors for the allocation of resources for intended QSAs : Reviews material requisitions including technical specifications with respect to quality requirements and participates with Engineering in finding the levels of surveillance required and establishing witness and hold points. : Assists in the development of the final bid list and the selection of a recommended bidder : Participates in pre:award and post:award meetings/conferences with suppliers to review Area Supplier Qualitys right of access, release for shipment authority, and notification on witness and hold points during quality surveillance activities : Prepares quality surveillance and capability survey assignments for execution by the assigned Area Supplier Quality Specialists : Investigate quality issues reported to the GBU Supplier Quality Manager on equipment/materials where quality surveillance has been performed. Available documents such as UOS and Ds, Field Change : Notices, back charge notices, NCR and Deviation Report registers, etc. should be utilized during the investigation process : Review, edit, accept and distribute reports in accordance with this Manual and Project
