Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a Duty Manager to join our passionate and driven Cleaning team. You’ll support with site audits and team management across our client’s site in Bath Ensure that the Cleaning, Customer Services and Security functions run within their contractual obligations and are always performing to the required levels of quality and service; all work is carried out in full compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations. To lead the teams to efficiently deliver Cleaning, Waste, Custom Services,&Security services, whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, and thereby ensuring that the client is receiving the best value for money, for the services they require. To foster a true partnership philosophy with both the client and team members. Provide leadership and direction, to ensure that the company standards and policies are followed and always maintained. To act as senior Duty Manager whilst no others are on site.  Key Responsibilities: Manage the team through the sickness and absence process. Ensuring return to work is complete and Bradford score matrix updated and RTW sent to HR. Manage short term cover for sickness and absences on the day operations. Manage teams through HR processes with investigations and performance management. Responsible for interviewing and collating RTW and documents to be sent to HR for onboarding. Responsible for full site induction of new starters and training of new starters. Responsible for Managing probation periods and check ins. Develop and retain the best people by implementing personal development plans and via the PDR process. Ensure a comprehensive training schedule is in place, to deliver training to ensure we have the best people, and they have the tools to deliver to a high standard. Manage the team’s timekeeping and efficiency ensuring maximum output. Drive engagement from the team via reward and recognition programs. Ensure the team is multi-functional via training on all equipment available on site. Foster a one team approach across all departments and site-based companies. Ensure the cleaning across the estate meets the highest standards bycompleting checklists of the customer’s journey and implementing actions plans where they do not. Where support is needed, to operate as part of the team to support drive tasks forward. Ensure the schedule set on site is followed by the teams with regular checks. Oversee that the team report in apresentable fashion by following uniform guidelines and delivering great customer service. Ensure all the team’s equipment is working and kept in an orderly state. Report all equipment issues to Facilities Manager to resolve. Effectively communicate across shifts to ensure a consistent approach across days and nights. Raise and follow up any fabric issues with the estate to the Maintenance Manager&Facilities Manager Maintain High standards of uniform expectations for the Security Team Deliver weekly MIM training in line with BL expectations. 25% to be tested from the incident Management logbook quarterly. To ensure all Security check sheets are completed monthly with the team, checking licenses. To deliver all training requirements to the Security team To ensure the Security officers conduct daily patrols and checking of PDA To ensure the Security Officers are following the daily schedule set for them. Make sure the controllers are leading from the control room and supporting where needed.  Ensure all tasks comply with safety legislation and comply with the logbooks and working practices as set out by the landlord and Incentive FM. Ensure that contractors working within units and on landlord demise have and are complaint with their permit. First line managerial responsibility (bronze) in emergency situations. Reporting all health and safety aspects including accident, incidents and near misses  Remain fully appraised of all potential, arising or current, incidents/issues. Identify ‘Risk Management’ threats and take mitigating action. Provide 'bronze command' on crisis management incidents until the silver Command is onsite. Required to respond to internal and external queries relating to the Centre. Escalate incidents of contractor related health&safety contraventions and inappropriate standards of work/cleanliness that are not commensurate with Southgate. Collate information on investigations/complaints and produce reports where required. Use of CAFM systems daily to log, assign, monitor and manage tasks. About You: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK Experience of working and building partnerships with clients Management experience or different work streams and work loads IOSH trained desirable. Knowledge of COSHH Minimum SIA non front-line licence (if not obtained will be provided) Articulate and has the ability to communicate effectively with the clients and the IFM teams. Organised individual who can demonstrate a record of planning and managing workflows. Able to demonstrate an understanding of high-quality service delivery and their impact on this. The ability to be agile and flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role, includes possible call outs on set of 4 in. any additional hours will be paid. Excellent time management organisation and focus on ability to prioritise and multitask with clear ability to focus on detail.
