Your Core Responsibilities Will Include: * Cost Leadership: Developing precise cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts across all project phases. * Contractual Mastery: Administering various contracts (NEC, JCT), expertly managing drafting, negotiations, variations, claims, and final accounts. * Strategic Procurement: Contributing to procurement strategies, tender preparation, and detailed analysis. * Proactive Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and effectively mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle. * Value Optimisation: Championing value engineering initiatives to achieve cost savings and enhance project value without compromising quality. * Rigorous Reporting: Producing comprehensive financial reports, progress valuations, and cost:value reconciliations. * Subcontractor Oversight: Managing and valuing subcontractor works to ensure strict contractual compliance. * Collaborative Engagement: Fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. * Ensuring Compliance: Upholding all health and safety regulations, building regulations, and company policies. What Were Looking For in You: * Experience: Proven Quantity Surveying experience, with a strong preference for a background in civils, utilities, or energy infrastructure. Direct experience with the Scottish Power Framework or similar utility frameworks is a significant advantage. * Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
