This client are innovators within the High Speed domain focussed on the development if Mixed Signal ICs and systems for a wide range of products in the data communication domain. They are searching for an experienced validation engineer to join their team of experts in Bristol. Role overview: * Performing laboratory:based RF testing with a good working knowledge of both high:speed digital semiconductor testing and optical component testing and a strong fundamental lab:based test engineering knowledge. * Participate in new product design meetings and drive test feature development as required for the successful evaluation of new products. * Assist in designing the validation solution development for new products (software/hardware/documentation). * Identification of bench:top test equipment for the validation of new product * Generation of test equipment automation software using Python or Labview * Collaborate with designers, product, test and applications engineers. * Participate in validation review meetings. * Creation of validation reports. * Testing of high speed optical components, IC's or modules. * Taking high speed measurements in a lab environment on products operating at data rates of 10Gbit/s and above. * Utilising existing knowledge of high speed signal integrity for schematic entry / layout using Altium PCB tools. Minimum Qualification * BSc/MSc in EE/ECE or HNC / HND with 6 years relevant work experience. * Able to work under pressure in a highly paced, dynamic R and D environment * Excellent team:player who positively interacts and shares knowledge. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Capable of self:study/training/learning. * Proven analytical and problem:solving skills. * Innovate and creative and Attention to detail LI:EF1
