Part of a major international group, this manufacturing organisation is investing in it midland factory and is seeking an additional Project Engineer to plan and oversee the design and commissioning of some significant capital projects. Project Manager : Capital Equipment / Manufacturing Salary: c GBP 50000 Location: West Midlands ( commutable from Telford, Kidderminster, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stourbridge areas) As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of several capital projects to improve productivity or safety throughout the factory. o Lead the management of designated projects, delivering agreed objectives including revenue, timing and deliverables, taking a project from conception to completion and escalate issues as they arise o Support initial feasibility reviews, validation of quotations and development of project budgets and timing for plant based activities. o Involved in the initial specification of project related equipment (e.g. extraction/ filtrations systems, material handling, cranes, factory layouts, M and E, CDM, civils) o Achieving programme deliverables project cost and timing progress reporting (internal and external) o Follow the business process to realise programme delivery and identify areas of improvement Identify areas of change to work scope and control via change management Experience: You will already have significant experience working in a similar Project Engineer or Project Manager capacity within the manufacturing industry or similar capital equipment systems vendor. o Proven ability to conduct high level customer interaction and communication o Setting up full development plans from concept to production with associated gateways/ KPI trackers, maintenance of timing and cost plans o Budget control ( GBP 0.5 : 2mil value) o Able to demonstrate successful project delivery of manufacturing CapEx projects ideally abroad o Mechanical Engineering background with good understanding of factory / production environment and familiar with CDM regulations o Analytical with good judgement, commercial business sense and problem solving skills o Relation builder with good communications skills with both internal and external stakeholders o Structured worker with good time management and project management ability The opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to be part of an established business with a strong sales plan.
