As a Transport Operator you'll be supporting in delivering day to day transport operation tasks.Shift times for this role are Monday:Friday ( Mid Shift 12pm : 9pm) Pay, benefits and more: We're looking to offer a salary of up to GBP 29,133 per annum+ 15 shift allowance. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px: : Co:ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations. : Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business. : Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner. : Ensuring all collections are covered. : Any returns are processed. : Dispatching 10:12 daily trunks . Be solutions focused. : Essential: Excellent communication skills : you'll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders with different personalities. : Essential: Be able to pick up systems and procedures confidently. Be able adapt to various challenges or situations that may arise. : Essential: Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook. : Highly Desirable : previous transport operator or planning experience.
