Lead Mechanical Engineer Location: Cambridge, UK Salary: GBP45,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, Full:Time Contract Type: Permanent About the Role Randstad is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small team in a stable, single:site environment. You will play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation. Key Responsibilities * Oversee all mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation activities on:site. * Lead and mentor a small team of engineers and contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. * Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and pumps. * Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety standards and company procedures. * Maintain excellent communication with site management and clients to ensure smooth daily operations. * Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement cost:effective engineering solutions. Requirements * Proven experience as a mechanical engineer, ideally with experience in a leadership or supervisory role. * Recognised mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, or equivalent). * Strong working knowledge of building services and maintenance systems. * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem:solving skills. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
