As they embark on an exciting phase of growth, they are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their EngineeringDevelopment team in Cambridge. The Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the New Product Development projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analysing problems, and providing innovative solutions throughout the design, development, prototyping,qualification, and launch phases. A solid understanding of electronics would advantageous for this role.  Responsibilities: Complete project documentation to support the stage gate development process. Generate CAD models and drawings across various project stages. Develop detailed test plans and collaborate with the development team to evaluate and enhance designs. Support the production introduction of new product offerings. Provide technical expertise in the development of new products. Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. While previous professional experience is desirable, we welcome applications from candidates at the early stages of their careers Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Proficiency in 3D design software, preferably Solidworks. Strong communication skills to articulate technical ideas effectively. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience with FEA simulation packages for product analysis. Understanding of electronics/electrical design principles. Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IP ratings, ATEX).
