The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering complete control system solutions, with a strong emphasis on programming PLCs and HMIs from the ground up. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands:on engineering environment and has a passion for solving complex automation challenges. Role and Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and implement control systems, including programming of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems from scratch. * Create detailed electrical and control system schematics using CAD software. * Conduct site visits for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems. * Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems. * Interpret client specifications and translate them into effective control system solutions. * Support project lifecycle from concept through to completion, including FAT and SAT procedures. * Maintain accurate documentation of software and system changes Knowledge, Skills and Experience: * Proven experience in PLC and HMI programming from scratch (e.g., Siemens, Allen:Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms). * Solid understanding of industrial control systems, automation architecture, and electrical principles. * Experience with fieldbus communications (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP). * Ability to read and produce electrical/control schematics. * Willingness to travel occasionally for site commissioning (International). * Excellent problem:solving abilities and strong attention to detail. * Right to work in the UK.
