About the Role: * You will be working alongside experienced teachers within small classes, individually and in groups, to learn and develop your teaching skills. * You will observe, assist, and eventually lead engaging learning activities that encourage pupils learning and progression, focusing on improving their social and emotional development. * You will be instrumental in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive. What will I be doing? * Observe and assist experienced teachers in delivering lessons and activities. * Gain practical experience in planning and delivering lessons, focusing on communication skills and life skills. * Support pupils participation in trips, applying theory:based learning to practice. * Provide behaviourally based support to replace and reduce behaviours that impact quality of life. * Support with personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene (toileting, feeding). * Monitor pupil progress, observing how different teaching approaches impact learning. * Assist with breaktime duties including playground support and snack time.
