Assistant Site Manager Location: Edinburgh, Scotland Salary: GBP24.91 per hour umbrella Job Type: Full:time, temporary Start Date/Duration: ASAP: December 2025 Randstad are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to work on a large housing site in Edinburgh. The right candidate must be able to support the Site Manager and have a good level of experience with keeping with KPIs on site, health and safety and good at client facing too. Must have experience on new build housing and flats. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the Site Manager with the daily supervision and coordination of site activities. * Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standards. * Monitor subcontractor performance and manage site logistics. * Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations. * Assist in managing materials deliveries and site housekeeping. * Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and health and safety documentation. * Support effective communication between trades, suppliers, site teams, and senior management. * Be client facing in meetings. Requirements: * Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor in residential construction. * Strong knowledge of housebuilding methods, NHBC standards, and H and S regulations. * Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certification. * Excellent organisational and problem:solving skills. * A proactive, team:oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
