Job Title: Maintenance Multi:Skilled Technician (Electrical Bias Preferred) Location: Desford Salary: GBP18.37 per hour (PAYE) Contract Length: 12 months (Very likely to extend) Working Hours: * Monday to Thursday: 06:30 : 15:00 * Friday: 06:30 : 12:00 * Occasional overtime available Start Date: ASAP Work Type: Fully site:based (non:negotiable) About the Role We are currently expanding our dynamic maintenance team and seeking two self:motivated, proactive Maintenance Technicians with an electrical bias or strong PLC experience. Youll be part of an inclusive and growing department modernising systems and driving integration and automation. This is a varied role offering exposure to both planned and reactive maintenance across a large manufacturing site. Youll work closely with a team of 30+ engineers, contributing to continuous improvement and ensuring optimal operational performance. Key Responsibilities * Provide both electrical and mechanical maintenance support to equipment and facilities * Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly and effectively * Conduct routine and preventative maintenance using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) * Order replacement parts and manage stocks * Adhere strictly to Health and Safety protocols * Contribute to ongoing improvement projects and integration of new systems * Undertake additional training and upskilling as required Candidate Requirements Essential: * Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment * NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in a relevant engineering field * Demonstrable hands:on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience * Ability to read technical diagrams and follow policies and procedures * Strong root cause analysis and problem:solving skills * Excellent team collaboration and communication Desirable: * Completed multi:year accredited apprenticeship * Familiarity with PLC systems (advantageous) * Experience working with Microsoft Office and willingness to train on in:house systems If youre looking to be part of an innovative and supportive team working on exciting engineering challenges, wed love to hear from you.
