START ASAP Our client prides themselves on their commitment, respect, integrity, trust, teamwork, fun Our client advocates for diversity and inclusivity, and mental health and wellbeing Our client is devoted to the growth and development, retention and motivation of their people Working pattern: Start: 8:30 am Finish: 17:30 pm The role:• Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE including a motorised pallet truck, forklift, counterbalance, reach truck (or other MHE) to load stores, transport pallets, rearrange stock or place heavy/large objects, as appropriate. • Ensuring products are stored safely and labelled correctly. •Ensure orders are packaged and labelled correctly to prevent returned orders. • Assist in loading/unloading with appropriate apparatus and following safety protocol. • Inspect stock for defects or damage, reporting any concerns to the shift manager. • Occasionally assisting customers at the Trade Counter. • Maintain accurate records of inventory. • Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies. • Report Health and Safety concerns immediately, following the reporting procedure. • Rely on appropriate equipment/tools for the job, following the correct system. •Be aware of, and participate in, the appropriate training to become multi-skilled. • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in your area. Your profile: • Industry knowledge and experience (desirable). • Basic knowledge and understand of general Health&Safety.• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre. • Familiarity with goods-in and goods-out, inventory and general logistics. • Happy to carry out manual handling duties as required • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and results-driven environment • Flexible attitude toward working hours (rotational shifts, or peak sales) • Excellent customer service skills Apply today for your opportunity to shine!
