Your New Role as a Primary HLTA As a skilled and adaptable Primary HLTA, your responsibilities will include: * Supporting teaching and learning across various year groups within a primary school setting. * Leading whole classes during teachers PPA time or short:term absences, delivering pre:planned lessons effectively. * Working with individuals or small groups of children, providing targeted support to raise attainment. * Assisting in the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning activities and resources. * Contributing to the assessment of pupils progress and maintaining accurate records. * Fostering a positive and engaging learning environment and managing classroom behaviour effectively. * Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to support the overall educational aims of the school. * Upholding school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding and child protection. What Were Looking For The ideal candidate will: * Hold HLTA status or an equivalent qualification (e.g., Foundation Degree in Supporting Learning). * Have significant experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across different key stages. * Demonstrate confidence and competence in leading whole classes and managing classroom dynamics. * Possess strong curriculum knowledge relevant to primary education. * Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. * Be passionate about supporting childrens learning and development. * Be proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team. * Have a sound understanding of safeguarding procedures.
