Job Description

Our client is currently looking a for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their established team. Our client is a well-known food manufacturer in West Yorkshire that supplies to retail and food to go sectors. The Role: The role of Production Supervisor is in a fast-paced, exciting and dynamic setting. You will be responsible for effectively managing and motivating a team of people to meet production targets, ensuring that the final product meets client specifications in line with company health, safety and quality regulations. You will ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures. The role will require you to supervise a team to maximise production efficiency and to ensure the plan is met on an hourly/daily basis. You will assist in the training and development of new starters and provide on-going training in line with food safety, HSE and company standards for existing employees. As this is working with fresh produce, the factory is a chilled environment so previous experience of this would be ideal as well as an understanding of food safety legislation The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication skills which will include both written and verbal. The current shift pattern is Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm however during peak periods there may be a requirement to work the back shift as per business needs. Benefits: * Holiday Entitlements: 28 days rising to 33 days (pro-rata) over a 6 year period inclusive of bank holidays. * Additional leave * Casual dress * Company events * Company pension * Employee discount * Life insurance * On-site parking Pay:£13.12 per hour Shift: Monday to Friday 06:00-1430 and during peak periods flexibility will be required to work the back shift to meet business needs. Weekend availability may also be required. Experience: * Supervisor/ Line Management experience of 1 year minimum in the food sector (Required). * Food Production experience (Required). * Proven track record in delivering results (Required). * Written Maths&English skills (Required).
