Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, with a minimum qualification of Level 2/3 or equivalent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the management of technical operations within our facilities management division. Key Responsibilities: * Supervision and Leadership: * Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians. * Provide training, support, and development opportunities for team members. * Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as necessary. * Maintenance and Operations: * Oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, plumbing, elevators, and other mechanical infrastructure. * Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs. * Ensure timely and efficient response to mechanical system failures and emergencies. * Project Management: * Plan, coordinate, and manage mechanical projects from inception to completion. * Prepare and manage budgets for mechanical projects and maintenance activities. * Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. * Compliance and Safety: * Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations. * Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures. * Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. * Technical Expertise: * Provide technical guidance and support to the team and other departments. * Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices. * Recommend and implement improvements to mechanical systems and processes. * Documentation and Reporting: * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, project progress, and compliance status. * Prepare detailed reports for senior management on mechanical system performance and project outcomes. * Ensure proper documentation of all mechanical systems and equipment. Qualifications and Skills: * Minimum of Level 2 mechanical qualification * Strong supervisory/management experience * Previous experience on a critical site or high end commercial building * Proven experience in a supervisory role within facilities management or a related field. * Strong understanding of mechanical systems, regulations, and safety standards. * Excellent problem:solving skills and attention to detail. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. * Proficiency in relevant software and tools. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast:paced environment.
