My client, an innovative, diverse Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the beautiful, northern Cathedral City of York, North Yorkshire. Essential Criteria: * A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering * Good knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) * Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.) * Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other, similar software packages * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team * A willingness to learn and consistently develop technical skills through hands:on experience It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to have the following: * Some professional experience, particularly with flood risk and drainage * Working knowledge of a range of additional software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc. * A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field * Good time management skills As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be joining a team of expert design engineers, working on a number of varied, high:profile projects across the region.
