Come grow with us! General Purpose and Scope of Position:Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will assist in the planning, coordinating, and directing of day-to-day production operations, including manufacturing, raw material receiving, and product loading. This position will support the Plant Manager in achieving the site’s safety, quality, and production goals. Key Skills and Abilities Include:High School Diploma required, post-secondary education in a related field preferredMinimum 3-5 years of front-line supervisor experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with chemical manufacturing preferredComputer proficiency required, oral and written communication skillsAbility to operate heavy machinery (forklift, JCB, etc.); AZ driver’s license an asset Key Personal Attributes Include:Strong leadership and team management skillsAbility to maintain flexibility and to change direction as necessaryKnowledge of manufacturing tools and equipmentExcellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Daily supervision of all facility operations personnel, including planning and scheduling of work for all operators, assigning work tasks, and managing employee’s vacation and overtimeProviding daily leadership through example, focusing on timely communication, objective feedback, clear work instructions, and coaching for continuous improvementCoordinating manpower with the production schedule to ensure that training goals, including safety training and manufacturing cross-training, are metEnsuring that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing adherence to company policies & procedures and leading by examplePerforming daily workplace inspections, ensuring health & safety practices and procedures are being followed and that equipment and PPE are being used and in good condition, following up on actions from inspections and auditsWorking with the quality department to ensure that all quality goals are being met and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving customer manufacturing complaintsEnsuring that proper methods and procedures are being used and that quality and production records are maintained according to company policiesConsulting in production schedule development and was responsible for safely meeting plant production targets, coordinating operator manpower accordinglyObserving and documenting process performance issues, assisting in the development of SOPs to optimize performance, and implementing changesCoordinating with the plant maintenance to ensure that all maintenance is performed safely and promptly, ensuring that permitting and lock-out/tag-out policies are strictly followedManaging raw material and finished goods inventories, coordinating with dispatch and the Plant Manager to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, production supplies, etc.Training on various processes to function as backup vacation coverage or to assist in providing training in the futureGeneral knowledge of the lab. Being able to run PH and gravity tests. Running inventory reconciliationsTracking inbound railcars/empties and raw material cars   Compensation and Benefits:In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $65,200 to $85,940.
