GAD Systems Ltd. located in Surrey, BC is looking for looking for Drywall Installer and Finisher and with minimum high- school education. Candidates should also have either a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience or Trade Certificate/ Diploma in the relevant field. This is a full-time position with 30 - 40 hours of work per week. Pay per hour will be $35.00. You will be required to work at various construction sites across Metro - Vancouver. Following are some of the job duties: · Measure, cut, and accurately fit drywall sheets for installation on both walls and ceilings. · Secure drywall panels to wooden or metal studs and joists using appropriate fasteners. · Apply successive coats of joint compound to seams and joints, smoothing each layer and allowing it to dry before sanding. · Fill cracks, holes, nail indentations, and joints with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife to achieve a seamless finish. · Install metal corner beads to reinforce and protect exterior corners from damage. · Use a taping machine to apply tape over joints, embedding it into the compound for a secure bond. · Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, maps, and specifications to ensure precise installation.
