Further job details are as under: - Job Title - Drywall Installer Location - Surrey, BC Wages - $35.00/ Hour Vacancy - 1 Employment Groups - Students, Youth, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Terms of Employment - Permanent employment, Full time 35 to 40 Hours/ Week Start Date - As soon as possible Employment Conditions - Shift, Flexible hours Languages - English Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience - 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting - Commercial, Institutional Responsibilities & Tasks: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Clean and prepare surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Work conditions and physical capabilities: Large workload Manual dexterity Overtime required Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Standing for extended periods How to apply: By email - workatmvc@gmail.com
