Whether you’re attending college right after high school, looking to build new skills for your current job, or wanting to return to post-secondary in order to change directions, we have plenty to choose from. Reporting to the Vice President, Academic, the Dean of the Russ Edwards School of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for the leadership and administration of all aspects of the operations of the School, including budget and fund development. In addition to the role of senior officer of the School, and a member of Deans’ Council, the Dean is a senior administrator of the School. The Dean fosters an environment in which world-leading research and excellence in teaching and engaged scholarship flourish. As the face of the School, the Dean is champion of curricular initiatives, research, and scholarship, professional training, global outreach, and recruitment of high quality faculty and student talent.  The Dean has an interdisciplinary vision for addressing global challenges, and cultivates an environment in which students, faculty and staff thrive. As Dean, you will have an earned Doctorate or equivalent in a relevant field and qualifications commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Professor. In addition, you are a scholar who has maintained an active program in research and teaching within an academic environment. You will be a dynamic and visionary leader with a demonstrated track record of fostering a culture of collegiality and collaboration within an interdisciplinary university or college environment for faculty, staff, and students.
