Project Overview: Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi:billion:dollar upgrade / expansion of an existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel's India offices. This position will start as an assignment in Mumbai, India (office) prior to the receipt of the full notice to proceed from the Owner and will eventually transition to the job site for the EPC execution of the project. Job Summary: Responsible for the organization and activities relating to surveying engineering including supervising and directing survey team activities, subordinate surveyors and others, as required.Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets. Job Dimensions A. Supervision Received : Receives technical and operational guidance from Project Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer or other assigned supervising manager. B. Supervision Exercised : Provides technical and administrative direction to assigned subordinate surveyors and contractors. C. Contacts : Jobsite contacts are with jobsite personnel including subcontractors related to survey engineering and operating personnel to coordinate survey/construction activities. Major Responsibilities: : Leads the implementation and monitoring of the survey program in accordance with Construction Surveying SWPP. : Establishes, develops and maintains site survey data. : Establishes and controls the survey work request form program. : Implements and provides oversight to survey quality control program. : Establishes As:Built and record retention program. : Implements the program for calibration baseline checks of survey instruments. : Performs verifications of subcontract survey work. : Reviews and provides input to project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule, and material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials. : Develops project construction procedures. : Plans and recommends procedures to be implemented by construction contractors to ensure surveying operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications. : Maintenance of construction engineering records for job history.
