Job Description

Network Infrstruture Manager - Permanent Contrat to start ASAP. Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Hours of Work: 9.30am - 5.30pm - Mon - Fri (1 in 4 weeks on call with shift allowance) Salary:£60,000pa plus car allowance Responsible for providing, developing and supporting an effective, efficient and secure IT infrastructure that underpins all business systems. This includes 30+ land-based sites, multiple online services and a both Landlord and Tenancy roles within an entertainment complex. This role forms a fundamental part in the services provided by the Tech&Change Department within the business. Individuals within this post carry out the duties of an IT Middle Manager which includes 3rd line support of the network and infrastructure, inclusive of the business systems. The Network Infrastructure Manager will demonstrate competence in Project and Service Delivery Management. Technical Skills / Qualifications: * If you've worked with leisure / entertainment or retail industry - adv * Excellent understanding of networking topologies–LAN, WAN and WLAN. * Experience managing Cisco Switching environment. * Experience working with SDWAN technologies * Knowledge of Enterprise Wireless technologies and components. * Experience of VoIP/SIP telephony systems in build, commission and supporting. * Experience managing networks within public cloud environments. * Being able to research, develop, test and deploy new technologies as required by the Business. * An understanding of managing IT Systems and Services through applying the ITIL Methodology. * Cisco CCNA/CCNE or equivalent * Public cloud networkcertifications beneficial. Operational role and objectives * 2nd and 3rd line support on All LAN, WAN and WLAN issues. * Having technical understanding for supporting the logical and physical network. * Supporting and promoting the Information Security Management programme. * Managing,Supporting and providing reports on WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP. * Manage deployment of WAN, LAN and WLAN infrastructure, both on prem and in public cloud. * Maintain ownership of problems and issues even though they may be passed to 3rd party suppliers for final resolution. This entails updating thecustomer as well as chasing progress and resolution. * Maintain all documentation pertaining to the systems and infrastructure in a clear and concise manner. * Carrying out reviews of documentation and processes to ensure they are up to date, relevant and manage through change control procedures. * Responsible for liaison with other members of the IT team to ensure that they are kept up to-date on relevant issues. * Effectively managing the Quality of Service of the Corporate / Gaming network. Monitoring and use of all network and infrastructure tools. * Responsible for workingwithin Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines within the Department and when published to the business community. Also responsible for making recommendations for changes to SLAs if appropriate. * Contactable by Helpdesk systems primarily but to include telephone and e-mail during working hours. * Manage calls and logging through the current Helpdesk / Knowledgebase System ensuring that all SLA, Training requirement, Hardware Analysis statistics are accurate. * On call 24/7 on a share basis with the other IT Managers.
