Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor Location: Carlisle/Workington Job Type: Full-time Salary: Up to£30,000 per year Role Overview: The role of a Functional Skills Tutor involves providing essential support to learners in Maths and English across Carlisle/Workington (travel expenses refunded through expenses policy). This role includes delivering accredited activities for English and Maths to enhance learners' employability and further education prospects. Key Responsibilities: · Maintain accurate learner records and ensure readily accessible evidence for audit and quality purposes. · Implement improvements identified through performance reviews and internal quality assurance. · Continuously develop and maintain professional knowledge, skills, and experience through training, CPD, and networking. · Regularly review learner progress to keep them engaged and track their development. · Plan and implement innovative and differentiated activities tailored to individual learners' needs. · Monitor learner progression and facilitate various teaching, learning, and assessment approaches. · Deliver training following qualification and centre guidelines, emphasizing equality, diversity, and Prevent in lessons. · Adhere to statutory responsibilities, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent policies.
