Lead Service Designer Location: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle:upon:Tyne, Nottingham, Oldham, Swansea Salary: A GBP 54,857 per annum (Plus an additional allowance up to A GBP 25,543) Job Summary As a Lead Service Designer at DVSA, you will play a critical role in shaping and improving public services that impact millions of road users across the UK. You will lead the design of end:to:end, user:centred services that are inclusive, accessible, and grounded in evidence. Working closely with service and product owners, policy experts, and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that design strategies align with DVSAs broader mission to keep Britain moving safely and sustainably. Job description Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Lead the design and continuous improvement of end:to:end services at DVSA, ensuring they are data:driven and user:centred. * Collaborate with service and product owners to align design plans with DVSAs strategic goals. * Champion inclusive and accessible design practices. * Work with other Lead roles in the User Centred Design team to guide the Service Design profession at DVSA by setting standards and mentoring designers. * Work with internal and external stakeholders, including policy experts, service owners, and other government departments, to enhance DVSA services.
