The Position As our Finance Controller you will play a key role the Oxford accounting Team and the entire accounting process related to Record to Report, including local journal entries, month:end close, and consolidation for external reporting such as the Annual Report. You will possess the decision:making power to identify, define, and develop solutions to complex issues and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes. You will also oversee: styletext:align:justify: : Ensuring compliance with internal controls over financial reporting, including Sarbanes Oxley, tax risk mitigation and the : Minimum Controls framework. : Working closely with our UK Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month:end close and group reporting pack : Working closely with our UK Accounting team to address external auditors requirements, ensuring accurate and timely communication and reporting. : Operating independently with the authority to set objectives and deliver results that significantly impact the department on tasks of medium to high complexity. : Collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure that UK statutory accounts are accurate and filed in a timely manner Office presence in our Oxford location will be expected 4 times per week. Qualifications We are looking for a highly communicative and structured professional with deep understanding of financial principles and project management skills. We expect our candidates to meet the following qualifications: : Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. The candidate must have completed their professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) and be fully qualified with a number of years of practical post qualification experience, with in:depth and proven knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP technical accounting. : Have several years of relevant accounting experience, including some in a senior role. : Demonstrated experience with Sarbanes:Oxley and internal controls over financial reporting. : International experience in a large organisation is desirable. : Fluency in oral and written English.
