Key Responsibilities and Tasks for the Composites Design&Test Engineer: * Create aerospace composite structures and components, considering performance, weight, manufacturability, and cost * Participate in the selection and qualification of composite materials, like fibres, resins, and core materials, based on mechanical properties, environmental impact, and meeting regulations. * Develop test plans and procedures to verify composite structure performance and reliability via mechanical tests, including tensile, compression, flexural, and fatigue tests. * Analyse test data and provide recommendations for design improvements or material selection based on test results * Support manufacturing processes by offering technical guidance in composite layup, curing, bonding, and inspection methods. * Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and guidelines for composite design and testing Essential Experience and Skills required for the Composites Design&Test Engineer: * Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field * Proficient in composite materials, manufacturing, and structural mechanics. * 2+ years’ experience working with composite materials * Experience using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventors) * Knowledge of FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN) * Great communication skills and teamwork ability.
